Well, like we said in your Hello post, we have moderators. Many people view the moderators as idiotic, vindictive, annoyances that hide the posts that they want to be up; even if they aren't needed for the community.

 

Kruncher and I are just venting a little bit.

 

I encourage you to go have a look at that log, just so you know what we're doing. ;)

Is there any way to become a moderator? Because I would like to be able to help with some problems and stuff. 

People have complained about mods for the few months that we've been here but no one has ever brought a specific post to debate as to weather it should or shouldn't be up. My offer still stands unaccepted.

 

Also, most members have no idea what was accomplished my the mods during incredibly intense spam attacks on this site, we were that fast to hide that garbage. I suspect Aubrey finally cought the culprit. There was a hint afterward in a comment left by a formerly active member saying something like "I just want to be friendly and help make Mars better.".

The log says I did but I did NOT set the post "Team_Chaos" to Active after hiding it. No. Way.

Agreed. Mods do their best to make Mars a enjoyable place to be, and so far, they have done a good job with it.

The moderation is necessary for all websites. They are stop to promotion ща spam. A lot of cheap resume were written by different authors about this problem.

Hmm. . . ., only moderators can hide a post, or mark comments as spam correct?

 

My reason for this question is because sometimes on other peoples posts I can hide other peoples comments, and I am not a moderator. 

Did a mod request a ban on my account?

We should just have this in the menu bar.

Hmm...I had a thought for improved usability...

 

Could you add a "go to last page" thing? That would be nice as I would like to see the first moderator actions ever without having to go through all 105 pages...

This should be an option on mars. You know, like Home, Content, Submit, Your name, Download, etc.

You need someone to recommend you to Aubrey.

I believe Aubrey picked these specific people to be mods. because most of them were around since the day Mars Explorer was created. That means they have a lot of experience and wisdom for the forum and the game.

 

It's kinda hard to believe that they were once n00bs. lol

 

But if I were to recommend someone to Aubrey, it would be one of the CIC board members, including me.

So I was looking at all of the posts in the moderator log. Those were the good old days. 

 

I forgot about the Wall of Fame, EHLTHR, and that Drag race club. That was way before they were moderators.
